After a move, for a new challenge or after a break: finding the right club isn’t always easy. Here’s how to go about it.

1. Know what you want

Performance or fun? Which league, which training days, how far are you willing to travel? The clearer your idea, the more targeted your search.

2. Create a profile

With a player profile on CoachMatch you show your position, level and strengths at a glance – and clubs can find you directly.

3. Link a highlight video

Two to three minutes of good scenes tell coaches more than any description.

4. Write to clubs directly

Short, friendly and specific: who you are, where you have played so far and that you’d like a trial session.

5. Pick the right moment

Clubs plan their squads during the summer and winter breaks. Get in touch beforehand – that’s when your chances are best.

6. Trust your gut

Coach, team and environment have to fit. Take your time to decide after the trial session.
